The mom in ordinarymom.ca is me, Janet Murphy, a freelance designer located outside of Ottawa, Ontario. I have two kids (aged 5 & 7), one dog and a very busy husband. We recently moved from suburbia to a more rural location and this blog is a place for me to document the journey of making that new place our home.

But sometimes I just need an excuse to get paint on my jeans. :)
